I recently purchased a compatible USB barcode scanner and plugged it into our Square register. The barcode scanner successfully scans physical gift cards but is not reading the barcode in the original eGift card emails on mobile devices. Our Square register interface does not have a front facing camera.
Hello @SCHCommunity I'm sorry you're having trouble with this. I'm not certain if this would be a fix, but my first thought is to check this...go into your Square Register > Payments Accepted...and see if e-gift cards are selected as a payment option. Maybe you need to turn this on before the barcode scanner would read them?
