Why does my account show the EIN doesn't match what IRS has?

[The title of this thread has been edited from the original: It shows EIN doesn't match IRS]

 

The name and TIN you provided do not match what is on file with the IRS. Please verify the information you are providing matches exactly what is on file with the IRS.My EIN number and business name are coorect,they are same with IRS fax file.I tried many times,it shows errors.Can i upload file to Sqaure?

For this type of information you would want to call Square Support since this forum is mostly answered by other users to help users of Square.  Supports Number is in my signature line below.  They might be able to inform you what the error is or tell you a way to upload your details to them.  Since this is sensitive information I am not sure what will be there response.

I contacted Square.They told me isn't their fault, I need to  contact IRS, but I filled business name and EIN match my IRS file.Who can help me with this?

If our Support team has told you that this isn't on our end, and you believe the information you provided is accurate, I would recommend reaching out to the IRS. 

 

Do keep in mind that if this TIN was provided to you less than a month ago, the IRS may need to update the database they provided to us to confirm the information they gave you. If this isn't your case then you would need them to provide you with an SS3 form, and then you can confirm if the information in that form matches (exactly matches spaces and characters) what you have given us.
