Weebly Page Organization Troubleshooting

The title of this thread has been edited by a Square Moderator from the original: Weebly

I’m using the Square-managed Weebly editor. I have pages that are permanently locked as a sub-pages under another page. There are no ‘Move page’, ‘Remove sub-page’, or duplication options available in my Pages editor. Dragging does not work. I need the page hierarchy reset so this page can be a top-level navigation item. Can anyone help please?

Hi @LisaAM, thank you for your post, and welcome to the Square Community!

I am sorry to hear you are dealing with these issues. I do have a couple questions to help with troubleshooting:

  • Are you noticing that the options you mentioned are not available on any other pages too or just the one?
  • Do you have the 'Move page' or 'Remove sub-pages' option on your other pages too?
  • Could you please provide a few screenshots of what you are seeing on your side exactly?

In the meantime, here is a helpful guide going over how to manage pages within Weebly. I will also provide a few of the steps on the managing Subpages page listed within that article here too:

  • Creating subpages will give you more control over your navigation, so it’s a better option than allowing excess pages to accumulate under the More tab.
  • To do this, just drag a page or pages underneath and to the right of another page.
  • The navigation menu will show your main pages, and when you hover over them, your sub-pages will appear in a drop-down menu below them.
  • Your main menu item can be either a functional link leading to a page, or a non-clickable menu item that will only display the subpages instead. To create a nonclickable menu, add a new page from the Pages tab and choose the Nonclickable Menu option. When you're done, you can arrange your subpages under your new nonclickable menu.

I hope this helps a bit, but if not, please feel free to answer those few questions above and we can look into this further.

I truly don't mean to be rude here but does nobody read the issue? I've had both Weebly and Square emails sent to me with solutions to issues I don't have, and no solution to the one I do have.

I will try and explain once more.

The pages are "locked". I cannot "slide" anything anywhere.

There is no "move pages" or any other option other than "copy" or "delete" on ALL pages. You can see two screenshots below. The short list is the one which contains the tabs that I require. "Support through Pet Loss" is meant to be the only sub-category and is listed under "For Animals TEMP". The rest should be title tabs, however I cannot move any of them. I have tried multiple methods, cleared my cache, checked the up-to-date browser details and still nothing. I have now unpublished my site temporarily and can't find how to "re-publish" it. This happened in the blink of an eye when I was moving pages about. So I believe the issue is with the Weebly/Square construct. I've been with Weebly for many years but am about to move through lack of assistance and clunkiness since moving to square. Thanks for any help. Appreciate it.

I understand your frustration on this, and I am sorry to hear you have been having issues with this.

I understand your inquiry and have read it several times, but I sent those bits of information and those questions over in case they would helpful in the meantime. Since we are not actively experiencing the issue on our side, we just need to be thorough in our investigation. So we appreciate you sending over those screenshots.

One last thing, could you please send over a link to your website? That way I can send it directly to our Engineers to take a look what may be causing this.

I am having the same issue as Lisaam.  I walked away from it for a few days and came back.  Now I cannot even log into my Weebly editor.
