We need process some offline debit card payment

Hi Square Team,

We have a customer wants to pay us via offline fund with offline debit cards. But it seems the Square Terminal cannot support it.

Could you pls help us to solve it and update it?

Hello there @Chicsneak Square does support Offline Payments using Offline Mode. If this isn't working for you, I can recommend our Troubleshooting guide for Square Terminal.

Yes, I understand Square does support 'Offline Mode', but it's just a 'store-forward' mode, there's not any offline authentication, like Offline PIN verification, approval code etc. So it's not EMV based offline mode. It's not the safety method. It's another type of pending online payment.

I need the offline EMV method with offline authentication. With this, the terminal will verify Offline PIN, and finish the offline authentication locally between the terminal and the chip card(chip debit card) or with the card issuer.  It's an independent function which I can choose from the screen menu. Not dependent the internet connection.
