Square terminal stopped working

my Square terminal stopped working and I need to get it back into working condition if somebody could please help me.

My square terminal won’t even turn on.

You can try a Forced restart.

Force Restart

1. Plug the Terminal into power
2. Hold the power button down for about:
   15–20 seconds

Keep holding even if nothing appears at first.

Sometimes:

• The screen flashes
• The Square logo appears
• Or it vibrates and reboots

If That doesn't work try this.

Try this sequence:

1. Disconnect charger
2. Hold power button for 20 seconds
3. Reconnect charger
4. Wait 5–10 minutes
5. Hold power button again for 15–20 seconds

A deeply drained battery can make it seem completely dead.

I would also check to make sure the power brick  and cable is good.

Never buy Square hardware, it's absolutely garbage. Batteries fail from not using the device or using it to much. They don't address refund or warrant claims in a timely manner. Your have to go through so much just for them to fix their own mistakes. 15 years with Square and I'm done

I’ve been with Square almost since they started and I’ve had 2 issues.   I went to the support page and they were within the warranty period and they replaced them with no problem.  I even got my 1st gen terminal upgraded to the 2nd gen when they were doing the free upgrades.
