Hi my Square reader suddenly can't pair with the app, it was just charged, the wifi is working, never happened like this before since I started using it last December, I bought it on Nov 29, 2018. When I pressed the power button and hold it there is no Orange blinking light, always red blinking light. Please help!
Hello @Cocooncoffeebar, I'm sorry to hear about the trouble you experienced on Saturday.
Typically a single blinking red light indicates that the reader is low on battery. Did you try forgetting the reader and re-pairing it?

I have an iPhone 6. I can use the magstripe unit no problem but I cannot get my iPhone 6 and the contactless card reader to pair. I have since tried a second contactless card reader and it won't pair with the device. I have tried many times. I have uninstalled the Square app several times and re-installed and it still won't pair. I note that the compatibility list indicates that an iPhone 6 will work with the contactless reader. For some reason, it doesn't work with my iPhone ! Yours, frustrated.

Since you've encountered the same issue on two separate readers now, my first instinct is that there may be an issue with the device or app. I recommend making sure that you've covered all the troubleshooting steps for the Contactless + Chip Reader listed here. Additionally, please note that the reader requires iOS 12.0+.
If you are still unable to pair the reader after going through the troubleshooting steps, please reach out directly to our Support Team so they can file a ticket for our engineers to investigate.
