Square Register and online order printing

So to preface I am using:

 

Square for Retail on a Square Register.

Mpop cash drawer and printer built in.

Online website with a brick and mortar store.

 

Some of my annoyances with online orders and square register:

 

In order to manually print my online orders it is automatically printing order tickets for every brick and mortar transactions. Otherwise I have to constantly change the printer settings. This leads to a colossal waste of paper.

 

Printing orders for online orders manually is actually really annoying. Why is there no print button as soon as I open the order? I have to scroll down, open the options and then hit print. Then it's 2-3 more buttons just to return to the main screen... Ease of use there should be a quick print button. 

 

I also find the automatic order printing useless for online orders. There should be an option to automatically print the order when the online order is made.

 

 

Lastly the printed orders don't show the due date or time which is kind of annoying as that is fairly critical information. My orders come days if not weeks in advance, automatically printing it 30 min before it's due is kinda useless.

 

I guess these would be feature requests?

 

Tired of wasting so much paper.

 

Do I need to buy another ipad and printer station just to save on paper? That doesn't seem like a winning solution.

We ran into the same thing when we upgraded to the Square Register. Printing for every single transaction or none at all. The only way we found was by leaving our old iPad logged in... but that is a pain because a. we want to use the iPads for other things, and b. it always needs to be plugged in and it logs you out after a set time. 

So very annoying. 

Its little things like this that are so annoying and confusing. Why can't they be the same across all devices and platforms. Chose what works best and upload that to all of the different programs. This is also confusing when you try to get help on seller community and someone will say that their regist4er does it... then you go looking how to change it on your platform and realize you aren't both on the same platform.
