Printing with Star printers

I'm not sure if this is a Square or printer or iPad or network issue. We run a cafe and use Square on two iPads - one for cash, and one in our kitchen. The Cash iPad is connected to a cash drawer and Star USB printer for receipts. In the kitchen is the second iPad for taking phone orders, and a Star Wifi printer to print orders sent from the cash iPad. The wifi printer is also set up to print online orders for the kitchen. We are continually having connection issues with the wifi printer. Sometimes both iPads can't find it, sometimes only the cash iPad can't find it and it prints just fine from the Kitchen iPad. Sometimes resetting the modem/router will solve the problem, other times not. When this happens, we restart the modem, the iPads, the printer, and sometimes it reconnects. Sometimes it will reconnect to the Kitchen iPad, but not the Cash iPad. Then I re-set-up the printer to the cash iPad by entering the IP address. But sometimes that doesn't even work. This is where I'm at right now - it's printing fine from the Kitchen iPad, but the Cash one can't find it. I changed the printer to a static IP address, hoping that would do the trick, and it did yesterday for a while, but now is back to not finding it. Help?

One more thing - I always make sure they're all on the same wifi network when troubleshooting.

Do you have a lot of devices hooked up to the wifi that would slow down the connection? 

How many devices do you have connected to that wifi printer? 

I want to get some more information, so I can get a plan together for you.
