Printing Small Labels Help

I recently purchased the Zebra ZD411 and want to print small labels, 1 x 0.5.  I am unable to choose this as an option through Square - which is really annoying as this is my preferred label size for my jewelry cards.  I found the workaround of using the ZebraDesigner software to edit and print each label individually, which is a lot.

Is there another option? What are other jewelry/boutique businesses using?

Additionally, it seems that the SKUs I've created are too long for Square's capabilities (but ZebraDesigner can print them just fine).  How important is a SKU that makes sense or should I just use the randomly generated one provided by Square?

Hi there, @Danielle1851,

Thanks so much for reaching out, and I completely understand how frustrating it is when your preferred label size isn’t available, especially when you’ve already invested in a new printer and have a specific workflow in mind. At the moment, Square’s built-in label printing settings don’t support custom label sizes smaller than the standard options, which is why the 1" x 0.5" size isn’t appearing. ZebraDesigner is a good workaround, but as you mentioned, it can be tedious if you're printing labels one by one. I know it’s not ideal, and I’ve shared this feedback internally because many jewelry sellers prefer compact labels like yours. If there is anything else we can look at for you, please let us know!

Also, welcome to the Square Community! I noticed that this is your first post with us, so I wanted to say, we are so excited to have you here.
