Pie flavor variations

I'm setting up my square register for the first time for our pie shop. I set up a pie category and started doing the list of pies that we carry. For example we have a blueberry and a blueberry crumb pie with the crumb pie be an option a display name option set? The simplest way to accomplish this please? And thank you 🙂

As in you’re wanting to create a drop down menu to select different types of blueberry pies?

Those would be variations in your item library.

There are several ways to set this up:

1. Create each pie as its own item in the Item Library. Probably not the best option, but works well if you only have a few variations of pies. It's faster during the checkout process because you just select the specific pie on the list and it's added immediately to the sale without the cashier having the extra step of choosing a variation for each pie.

2. Create pies by type, then add flavor as a variation. This would be the best option if you have many different types of pies and the pies are sold primarily by type, then by flavor.

3. Create pies by flavor, then add type as a variation. This would be the best option if you have many different pie flavors and the pies are primarily sold by flavor, then by type.
