Open Cash Drawer for a No Sale

Please can someone tell me how I open a cash drawer for a no sale.  I've been told that I'm meant to click the three dots on the checkout screen which will give me the option but it doesn't.  I get Create Item, Creat Service, Create Discount and Customize Favourites.  I know I can get to the drawer by going through settings and hardware and testing the drawer, but surely there should be something on the checkout page

I'd be happy to help, can you let me know the following details so that I can get an idea of your current set-up: 

Device: Square Stand or Register? 

Printer: mPop, or other? 

Point of Sale version: Square Point of Sale, Retail, Restaurants? 

Knowing this will help me do some testing, thanks.

@WithitWitch I know it's not always convenient or suited for every business but we just leave the key in the front of the draw and open the draw manually.
