Multiple PoS Devices and Receipt Printer - Advice

I need some advice on how to get this setup. 

2x Roaming iPad with Square PoS installed - with cellular backup if Wifi goes down

1x iPad in Square Stand with PoS installed - with cellular backup if Wifi goes down

I want 1 receipt printer which can accept all 3 ipads and preferably can also print receipts if Wifi goes down and on cellular only. 

However solutions where all 3 ipads can print to 1 printer is priority.

Any suggestions on how to get this working and which receipt printer i can get?

Hi @caudex, thanks for hanging in there! I’m happy to help with your printer questions.

You can set up different printer profiles on each iPad and have them connect to the same printer.

1. Open your point of sale app.
2. Tap ≡ More > Settings > Hardware > Printers.
3. Tap Profiles if it has not already been selected.
4. Tap Create profile and enter the printer profile name.
5. Toggle on the items you want to print with this profile depending on your needs.
6. Tap the back arrow > Save.
7. You will then need to manually assign a connected printer to the printer profile on each device. While devices share printer profiles, a specific printer-to-profile connection is made locally on the device.

Compatible receipt printers connect through USB, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or Ethernet. The Square app does require a stable Wi-Fi connection to function properly, so if the network goes down, even with Offline Mode, the receipt printer isn’t guaranteed to work as expected.
