Modifer Sort Order in Items

Hi there,

I am trying to manually arrange my modifers so that there is a logical order against my items for my staff, as an example, with a Latte, there's sugars, syrups, dine in etc. 

I want to make it on the item that the last selection is Dine In or Take Away. I have put what order I want this on my dashboard but its not replicated on my POS kiosk.

Is there a work around this to force this to happen. 

I have logged out and back in but didn't make any difference

Hi @Emmas_Place, great job getting started with your modifier setup!

It sounds like you've followed the correct steps to arrange your modifier list, but just for reference, if you want to edit the order of your modifiers, you can do so by navigating to Items > Modifiers in your Dashboard. Then click and drag them to your preferred order using the six dots to the right of the trash icon (see the image reference under Step 1 in our online guide).

For Dine In and Takeaway options, something to consider would be enabling these through your Dining Options settings instead of setting them up as modifiers. This approach lets you set a default dining option for all orders, and manage your item modifiers separately, while still allowing staff to change the dining option as needed by Apply dining options in the online guide.

Regarding your item modifier list not maintaining the manually edited order, could you let me know how they’re currently appearing on your Kiosk app? For example, are they showing in alphabetical order instead?

I can double-check whether this is expected behaviour. My assumption is that the arranged order should apply across all apps and devices, so I’ll keep an eye out for your reply here!
