Hello,

is anyone aware of a way to hide or disable the ipad swipe up feature in kiosk mode?, as of now it has the ability to access the inner workings of the ipad.

HI @fullstop !

Unfortunately, there isn’t a built-in option to completely disable the swipe-up feature on iPads when using Square in Kiosk Mode.

However, there are a couple of workarounds you could try to limit access to the iPad's inner settings:

1️⃣ Guided Access: You can enable Guided Access on the iPad, which restricts users to a single app (in this case, the Square Kiosk app). To enable this:

  • Go to Settings > Accessibility > Guided Access and turn it on.
  • Set a passcode to prevent exiting the app.
  • Once set, open the Square Kiosk app, then triple-click the home button or side button to start Guided Access.

2️⃣ Screen Time Restrictions: If you're using iOS 12 or later, you can set up Screen Time restrictions to limit access to certain features and apps, including the swipe-up gesture.

While these options won’t completely disable swipe-up, they can help restrict access to the iPad’s other features while in Kiosk Mode.

I hope this helps!
