Just received my reader, but it came with a passcode???

 

Help, what can I do?

Hi @Basslovinbabe thanks for reaching out!

Are you being prompted to enter in a passcode when attempting to connect your Square Reader in your app? 

If that's the case, you may have enabled your Owner Passcode on your account previously. You can manage your Owner Passcode from Settings > Account & Settings section of your online Square Dashboard by visiting the Personal Information tab.
 

From here, you can view and edit your Owner Passcode. If you’d like to turn this feature off to avoid entering a passcode each time you log in, simply log in to your Square Point of Sale account and visit Settings > Security > Passcodes and toggle Off.

Thank you! yes I realized and double checked there was a passcode set up! got it now 🙂
