Hello Msbyenter,

The standard Magstripe comes in two options - one with a Lighting Connector and the other with a headset jack - neither will work with your new phone.  There is an adapter you can get that is USB-C to Headset Jack - see this info.   

You can also setup your phone for Tap to Pay - no additional hardware needed.

And there's Square Reader for contactless and chip payments which connects via Bluetooth.  This is a great option and seems to be the most dependable of all your options - just ensure that you keep it charged before using.  At least that has been my experience.  Others here may have some additional thoughts to share.

On a side note:  Both Tap to Pay and the Square Reader for contactless and chip are more secure and reduces your liability of credit card acceptance.  Some back the Card Companies shifted card liability to the seller when cards are swiped - just something to consider.

I have the headset jack that Msbyenter linked, and it does not work with Square and my iPhone 15 Pro. I am only able to do Tap to Pay and manually enter the card number (which costs more). Hopefully my late response will save someone else the time it took me for troubleshooting...

That's a bummer @nbraskagrl. Thank you for sharing your experience. At this time, the only supported adapter (the only one our team has tested and confirmed worked) is this one found our shop. 

I hope this information is helpful for you and other future Sellers. Also, the Square Reader for contactless and chip is a great option, as it connects to your device via Bluetooth.

Love using Tap to Pay. Only a very small handful of times that the card hasn't worked, but it's so convenient!

Not all cc’s have the icon needed for tap to pay and the fees for manual input is outrages. 3.5% from a $200 purchase is $7!!! 😠

I agree not all CC are Tap to Pay, which is why Square made the Square reader for Magnetic reading here : Magnetic Reader 

You just need to make sure you order or receive the correct one as there are 2 different ones depending on your needs.  Sqquare also has created an adapter to connect the Head Phone port one to connect to a C port charging port on newer android phones which is here : usb-c-to-headset-jack-adapter

Now for a 2 in one reader that can read a Chip card or a Tap card you would need the Bluetooth / USB reader which is here : 

contactless-chip-reader 

So Square does have you covered so you can read all current types of cards without manually entering the cards at the higher rates.  The type of Card Reader you would require is independent of the device your entering the payment on or the type of Credit Card (Chip, Tap, or Magetic).  By using one of these two types of readers you would save the Manual entry processing rate.

I initially had a magnetic reader, but then I got an iPhone 15 and there is no adapter that works.

What is the Chrging port for an Iphone 15 ... a C port?   You may need the C-port to Headphone adapter and then the Head phone (android) Magnetic reader.
