How do you allow employees to clock in from appointment mode?

I can't seem to figure out how I can have my employees clock in from appointment mode. We are using the square terminal hardware. In default mode, there is a clock in button in the top corner. However, there is no such option in appointment mode. Changing modes needs an override -- and also closes out the cash drawer -- so not something I want happening when people need to clock in/out. What am I missing?

Good question! 

While the Square Appointments app doesn’t currently support employee clock-in functionality, team members can clock in and out by using the Square Team app instead. The clock-in/out feature is available in both the Square Team app and the Square Point of Sale app.
