It could be that the device is not supported, or perhaps you have the phone rooted, or maybe developer options enabled as i think this may also affect it.
As we received the tap to pay as an upgrade to the app, in my case the app did not have the correct permissions. Rather than working out what these permissions were, I just uninstalled it an re-installed it, then the correct permissions were requested.
