Hi--I'm brand-new to Square and am wondering which type of hardware would be best for my business. I'm currently a one-person operation (with plans for growth). My company makes and sells organic dog treats and currently sells primarily at farmer's markets and craft shows. Most of my customers pay in cash, but I do accept debit/credit and my current system (PayPal, not happy with them) is run through my phone and a card reader. I also can take ApplePay.
I'm looking for the most budget-friendly options. I don't need to print receipts, but I do need to accept the same payments that I do now. Help!
TIA

Congrats and welcome to the Square community.
I think that the Square Reader would be the best option in my opinion.

I agree with Minion. A square reader to connect to your phone will be the easiest and cheapest option. You could also go with an iPad and reader too if you wanted a bigger screen.
The handheld would be a great option as well, though a bit pricier if you are ok just using your phone, but comparable to getting an iPad if you don't already have one
