I have 3 square stand set ups. One iPad when docked or not won’t activate the card reader when I press charge. Drop another iPad in and it works... it’s updated and identical iPad
Hmm that sounds strange @ShadyLaneEst and it does sound there's an issue with that specific iPad. If you haven't already can you go through these Point of Sale troubleshooting steps on the iPad in question?
Do you have another reader to test that iPad with? If you think it might be the contactless and chip card reader please try these additional troubleshooting steps for contactless reader connection issues.
It might also help to call our CS team so they can talk through all of the steps you've done already and help you to fix this.
