Dipping a card in Offline Mode freezes the Terminal App

Can someone try to duplicate this bug, please?

1. Disable automatic offline mode: More | Settings | Offline = Off
2. Load shopping cart with an item
3. Simulate network suddenly failing by turning off Wi-Fi: More | Settings | Hardware | Network | Wi-Fi = Off (red stripe appears across top)
4. Attempt to process payment: Checkout | View cart | Charge
5. (Notice that you can return to the cart with "X" in the upper left corner - and then return to the charge screen - as many times as you'd like.)
6. From the charge screen, attempt a dip; get shown “Unable to process chip cards” error.
7. Terminal is now unusable: “X” in upper left corner does not return to cart as it did before the dip; “Split Amount” & “More” do nothing . Terminal must be rebooted using side power button.

I can reliably duplicate this on our terminal running 5.51.0076 / 6.54 . The bug does not appear for a tap: the terminal seems to ignore the card.
