Clocking in/out on register with multiple staff

I have multiple staff and would like everyone to clock in and out using the register...

I have found that if one person is clocked in and "running" the register there is no way for someone else to clock in and allow the original person to continue running the register. 

Maybe im missing something?

That should not be the case. Make sure you have removed Team passcodes and require an employee passcode after each sale, when backing out of a sale and timeout after 1 min.

You can do this in Settings -> Security
