Printer working intermittently, no tip line

In the middle of the day today, our Terminal started randomly not printing receipts.  When it did print one it no longer had a tip line.  If customers added a tip anyway there was no way in the system to add that tip.  No setting were changed on our end.

 

When we DID try to change settings they would randomly revert back to settings we never had selected.  Just wondering if this was a known issue today or what I should be checking.  Rebooting, turning off then back in etc all didn’t work.  Hoping letting it sit overnight and logging back in will fix it.

@beards This could be a bug from a system update. If letting it sit overnight does't work you could reset your terminal to factory settings and then log back into your account and see if that fixes it!

 

  1. If you have taken any offline transactions, be sure to reconnect to the internet and process them before proceeding. ...
  2. Tap ≡ More.
  3. Select Settings > Hardware.
  4. Tap General > About Terminal.
  5. Scroll to the bottom of the screen and tap Factory Reset > Confirm Factory Reset.

Thanks!  Will see how that goes if I need to do it.  Any idea how long that kind of reset takes?

@beards Honestly I haven't done it personally but I would give yourself a bit of time. 

Hopefully when you boot it up tomorrow it will have updated to fix the bug and you won't have to do a reset!
