i have a 3 printer/ipad setup which im using to print receipts and order tickets from each. I have bluetooth disabled/not paired but whenever i plug in the ipads im having a bluetooth printer appear which then is causing receipts and tickets to print several times. I used to be able to click on it and at least have that solve the multiple printing issue but now with the new update that doesnt work. Help ๐
@makenna1 Since you're USB-only, cut the app's Bluetooth permission: on each iPad go to iPad Settings > Square and toggle Bluetooth off, then relaunch the Square POS app. Square's help article says the app needs Bluetooth access "in order to connect to Bluetooth printers" โ so with it off, the app canโt create Bluetooth printer entries. You said Bluetooth is already disabled at the device level, but the app can still surface a Bluetooth printer if it has the permission, so this is the other half of that.
Second, the duplicates. Go to โก More > Settings > Hardware > Printers on each iPad and tap the phantom Bluetooth entry to see which profile it's on. Printer profiles have a "Use this printer for" section with toggles for Receipts, In-person order tickets, Online and kiosk order tickets, Order ticket stubs, and Void tickets โ and Square's default profiles have all of those turned on, which is exactly how one phantom entry can trigger multiple prints. If the phantom entry has those toggles on, switch them all off. Tapping the entry won't delete it
Hopefully this will stop the bluetooth printing.
