All my tills opening when I put through a cash transaction

Hi !

Each time I take a cash sale, the till connected to the Square POS (an iPad) at the bar opens, however the till at the bistro opens as well.

And vice versa. The cash sale at the bistro POS will also open both tills.

How on earth do I stop this from happening? It never used to happen, but then began to happen around 6 months ago.

@NBCo Usually printers drive the cash drawers.  I would check your printer settings, when they introduced printer profiles, if you assign the same profile to multiple printers, they tend to like to think that all the printers are tied to the same pos and will kick them open.  I use it to play pranks on cashiers sometimes...drives them nuts. 🙂

I would make sure the printer for in person receipts is for each register.  If you are sharing one printer with all of those tablets and are using it for order tickets, just disable the receipts options for that tablet, etc.  I think the profile might be what is kicking it for them.
