Afterpay notice on Register customer facing screen

I have turned off Afterpay as a payment option, but I just noticed that my Register customer facing screen shows a notice about Afterpay being available here. I didn't see it at first because I use a graphic on my screen, but it is clearly there. Is there any way to remove this?

Hmm - Nice catch @HC_Charlie!

You definitely don't want sellers to think they have an option that is unavailable.

I'm going yo jump in with our Hardware team to see if there's a way to quickly get that off of the customer display.

 

In the meantime, by chance, have you tried a hard reset on the Register at all?

@Ria I tried a restart, is that the same as a hard reset? Or unplugging? Or is this a factory reset? It’s still showing up, really not a huge deal as most of the time when a customer is at the screen I’ve started their sale so the screen announcement goes away. Just thought it was odd and if possible would like to turn it off since I’m not offering Afterpay

Dashboard ->Settings -> Payment Methods .

Thanks for this @MayaP . I just checked. I was sure I turned it off...turns out, I turned it off when Afterpay was just offered ONLINE, but there must have been an addition later, and Afterpay was added as an INPERSON option? So when I went to the dashboard, I was surprised to see the second option labed INPERSON , and it appears to automatically turned on. Just an FYI, absolutely do not appreciate new features like this being auto turned on; I'd prefer to set this myself. Perhaps I did option to turn this on, but I don't think I would have done that.

 

Also another FYI for developers, the "buttons" on this are very confusing. If you look at the style of these buttons, it looks like it's a "toggle", when if you click on it, it would move left or right to visually indicate the option is turned off or turned on. If you look at the screen shot, the bottom INPERSON option was turned on, and was colored blue, but the toggle is in the identical position as the OFF button above it. I had to click each several times to see how it would visually indicate if I had these on or off.

thanks again....BTW i'm not in the store today, but when I get back in I'll check the Register customer facing screen and see if this is still visible on the screen.
