Access denial secure service error

I recently upgrade my phone to TCL (android). When I log into Square POS app, I get an error "Access denial - secure service" warning or error.

I can link the square reader via bluetooth but I can't process transactions.

My colleague has not upgraded his phone and the service continues to operate without error.

Howdy there, @IBTC,

Thanks for reaching out to flag this with us and sorry to hear you're running into these issues.

If you're seeing this error when trying to access the Square app on your new device we would recommend trying the following steps to resolve the issue.

1. Clearing your browser cookies and history.
2. Turning off VPN and VPN extensions.
3. Disabling your proxy.
4. Switching to a premium VPN service.
5. Resetting your browser data.

It's also worthwhile double-checking that your TCL device is currently compatible

Give this a try and let us know how you go on your end!

Just had the same issue with a new oppo Find x5 pro .Was connecting via bluetooth but not through the app same message "Access denial secure service".

Tried over and over contacted support and wen't through a bunch of different procedures they thought the reader may be faulty and advised to return it.

Was just about to give up then I deleted square app and the reader reinstalled it and it's working.

I think it may have something to do with migrating all data over via clone phone app so here's hoping everything works from now on
