Bundles price variations

Hi everyone,

in our cafe, we use bundles as a solution to our meal deals, where customer can choose between eg. Main, drink and snack.

The difficulty is the price diversity between our regular priced items, that are included in the meal deal [set price for the bundle], and the premium items, that are individually priced a bit higher.

We are trying to figure out how to have this add-on automated. Especially when we allow our customers to order online themselves. Let say: If a premium item is included in the meal deal, it will add a certain amount to the price of the bundle.

Currently we are adding an extra amount manually, which is added independently and not linked to any item and its stock, so on the report it just floats as a independent ''£1 Go Premium'' item.

Anybody would know how to set up automated price variation if certain items are included in the meal deal?

Many thanks

Jan

Hi @CottonBake ! Welcome to the Square Community !

Square doesn’t currently offer automatic upcharges within bundles, here are a couple of potential workarounds:

1️⃣ Use Item Modifiers – You can create a modifier set for premium upgrades (e.g., “Go Premium +£1”), which will automatically adjust the price when selected. This will also ensure it’s linked to reporting and stock.

2️⃣ Set Up Variable Pricing with Variations – Instead of a single meal deal, you could create multiple variations of the bundle (e.g., “Standard Meal Deal” and “Premium Meal Deal”), allowing you to preset the pricing.

I hope this helps!
