What are your favorite holiday recipes?

Hi, everyone! I'm Elisabeth, and I've just joined the Seller Community team to take on the groups program. 👋

With the holiday season just around the corner, I've been daydreaming about my favorite dishes. My grandma used to make a dessert she called kitchen platter, which is still one of my all-time faves. I always get a serious craving for it at this time of the year. 😍

I'd love to hear about your holiday favorites - and if you have a recipe to share, even better! 🧑‍🍳

About the only specific thanksgiving/Christmas favorites I can think of (besides Turkey and real mashed potatoes) is Banket, a Dutch Almond based desert.  As my name likely implies we are dutch with my great grandparents coming over from Holland so you are really frowned upon if you don't like the most famous dutch desert. https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/11433/banket/

Real mashed potatoes are everythingI always make a big batch in the crock pot for Thanksgiving - gotta have plenty of leftovers! 🤤
That dessert sounds amazing - I saved the recipe so I can try it out soon! Thank you so much for sharing! 😊

I’m not sure I have a favorite recipe for holidays. My wife and I try and find something different each year to bring. We also do a Friendsgiving in January and ask our friends to bring a dish they enjoy and can’t have at the holidays.

Each year, as fall settles in my mind becomes preoccupied with anticipation of eating turkey and pumpkin pie every day for a whole week... no Thanksgiving recipes just a few pics from this year's feast. 20211125_180559b.jpg
