We don't have 30 different flavors people can add to drinks so customization isn't super crazy in our shop. Most of the time when we have a seasonal menu people will try to change those drinks or add one of our seasonal menu ingredients to whatever they want. An example would be our summer menu. We had coconut syrup as a seasonal flavor that was in specific drink recipes. Customers will try to add that coconut to other drinks or change the drinks that have it to what they want. We don't allow many customization to drinks like that other than the option of less sweet. The reason we don't allow people to customize things to an extent is because we work hard on the recipes for our specialty drinks and if someone is trying to change that recipe we can't be sure we are serving excellence across the counter, and that is not what we want to do. We want to serve excellence and be confident in the drink a customer is having. Not just hope it tastes okay because we did what they wanted.

Thanks for the reply, @Lovewell! I totally understand why you want to maintain the integrity of your drink recipes. My son used to work at Starbucks, and I've heard a lot of wild stories from him about customer requests (and how some of them reacted when they couldn't have what they wanted! 😯).

Yes! @ElisabethB We hear all sorts of stories as well from all different types of shops. One thing we pride ourselves in is that no matter who is making your drink, whether it be an owner, someone working with us for a year or someone working with us for a month, your drink will be made the same way and taste the same no matter whos making it!.
