New POS user here.
I am setting up a bar and wanted to get an idea of how to setup Specialty Drinks where we can use Well, Call, Premium or Top Shelf spirits in a drink. eg. a Margarita w/well, call, premium or top shelf. Each level would be an add to the well price.
Would I use a Variation for each or should I create a modifier set that would identify the different price adds for call, premium, top shelf?
Thanks in advance for your help.

We create modifier sets and it word great. We are in a bit different business — Southern BBQ — but we have Nachos and burritos and we have things to take away and add. Or you could create it’s own item. Have one item and price for Margarita Top Shelf with price and and modifications and then another item Margarita Premium and so own. That was kinda on your line of thinking I believe. Good look and don’t get discouraged. It’s hard.
thanks!
I have had luck with both. I love variations for certain drinks depending on the cocktail because it can see what is popular for which particular drinks. With my old POS i would have certain managers use upgrades across drinks that were not priced correctly for the drink. Also if you do any QR menu you can make it very clean looking and promote upgrading their drinks! not to mention it is cool to be able to put pictures with all drinks and people can get a better idea without creating a gigantic printed menu with the same information to pass out. Hope this helps!
Thanks for the tips!
