Are you presenting your menu on TV in-store?

Hi, we are creating an easy way to put your menu on a TV screen in your store so customers can easily experience it. We wanted to learn through the community if this is going to be a benefit if it's going to be generated out of the box from your Square catalog (sync automatically) and how much of a value you think it brings you.

1. Do you  have a TV monitor with your menu / catalog?

2. Have you considered setting up one and why have you decided to not do it?

3. Do you find it difficult to update the menu on the TV every time the menu changes?

4. How much would you pay for it (if at all?) between $0-$49/mo. ?

I would love this but I am very tired of the SaaS business model.  Am I willing to pay a monthly fee for it?  Nope.  One time fee?  Yes if it is affordable.  Give me the software so I can run it and I'll give you my money.

3. Not difficult. I have a networked laptop hooked to the TV via HDMI. I update a file on my LAN and it shows up on the TV.

We have our menu built out on a platform that is integrated with Square. It costs us about $4 per screen per month to use. It’s connected to the status within our POS.

I have been installing YODECK.com for my clients. It is very cheap.  $99 a year per monitor and that includes the computer for back of the TV which is a Raspberry PI device.  The service is the most flexible I have seen, simple to use and will display almost anything. I've installed about 50 monitors, no complaints.  I do maintain the images for a few clients for a fee.  You can use one device with a HDMI splitter and connect multiple TVs if the content is the same for these monitors.

JayJzz - does yodeck integrate with square? I can’t find any service that changes status real time, like if I sell out then it will change automatically. Let me know, thanks.
