Worse with every change

After about 13 years of using Square across 2 different businesses, I have never even read the feedback, let alone felt like I had to post twice. But this is the second angry complaint in just a few weeks.

 

The latest changes to the interface are again massive steps backward. 

 

Now we have buttons for "For Here" or "Take-away" and if you select "Take-Away" the docket prints both options and also uses aproximately twice the amount of docket paper as it did before the change.

 

Im sure there are settings to fix this, but how about NOT CHANGING MY TILL WITHOUT ASKING!!!

 

Every change made in the past few months has been un-solicited, unwelcome and worse for our business. The only up side is that we close up for good in a few days then I wont have to worry about it again. 

 

Whoever was running your show up until about 12 months ago did a fantastic job, whoever is running it now. Get rid of them before you seriously damage your brand. My guess is they have never been in small business in their life because only some 20 year old Uni graduate would think they know better than small business owners.

Just had to add. This situation is the equivalent of me selling a customer Cod and Chips, then just as they are about to eat it, I race out and swap their box for a different type of fish and say "I decided you would prefer this fish instead". Put in context, you can see how crazy this situation is. How about asking customers if they would like the changes you are propsing and allowing them to opt in or out? 

 

Now go ahead and explain why that cant work, because of course it cant.

I've been with Square for over 15 years.  They are not the same anymore. I'm so over them. I'm looking at GoDaddy and Clover. And I don't particularly like GoDaddy, but I'm getting desperate.
