Between Sunday and today, Square updated something and now barcodes won't print on my zebra ZD411 that I purchased from Square and have used for the last year. I just printed new barcodes Sunday and it worked fine.
Hours of support and they can't determine what's wrong. Hours of wasted time and lost money.
Using Square for Retail Ver 7.6w on iOS 26.4.2. I reset and reinstalled with support guiding me to. All of the bullcrap, basic "troubleshooting". Sent videos and pictures.
Inventory, Print labels, with correct template and SKU selected. Same items that just printed fine Sunday.
I don't really use GTINs. Changing it to GTIN gives an error saying it's missing. Changing to SKU or None? Doesn't matter, no SKU even if you tell it to.
This is insane. So many basic functions Square continues to mess up
(Unrelated: I still can't search for items in the Square Register under Transactions, which Square support tells me is a Feature Request - basic search functionality is a feature request! Terrible waste of money on proprietary machine. Still with an iPad).
Getting real sick of wasting money on Square and them costing us more money trying to fix their bad equipment.
Has the font size also changed on your price tags? mine seems to have done the same thing overnight, was working on Tuesday then on Wednesday both of my stores the tags are printed with such large font that the price doesn't show, I am using 1"x1" tickets and cannot print even the price.
I was on the phone with someone yesterday for over an hour and 45 minutes. Is this what yours are doing?
That’s exactly what is happening! I do 2x1, SKU mode, and it prints like that. I change all the settings I can, and it doesn’t matter.
Square tried to tell me I was printing too much information. Even though the same stickers I’ve been printing for a year were printing fine just days ago.
This is clearly something Square or Zebra changed. And instead of caring about their customers’ lost time and money, they are trying to blame us for doing something to the machine. They should be off working on fixing this.
I’m sick of Square shunting off their jobs and blaming their end users.
I am having the same issue today. Worked yesterday but not today.
Test prints printing correctly, but when I go to print a item barcode, it is way oversized
Yeah, massive fail on Square’s end. And their refusal to immediately work on a fix is disgusting.
This is what is happening for our shop, too. Have you heard from anyone about a fix?
No. They are refusing to escalate this and take the issue seriously. It’s clearly a programming issue and they refuse to acknowledge that. They’re wasting time.
We are having exact same issue. Worked fine Yesterday and not today. I've tried all the basic fixes. Sounds like Square needs to get an update and fix this glitch in the most recent update. Very frustrating!
UGH, same exact issue for us! I spent a whole day trying to fix it to no avail 😞 I have massive quantities I need to label for the weekend, and I simply can't 😞 Upsetting that we're all in the same boat!
Very upsetting. It’s like pulling teeth with Square support. They’re literally costing us money.
Having the same issue today. Spent about 5 hours troubleshooting this.
Super upsetting they’re making us waste our time like this. Time is money.
Having the same issue as well!
We had the same issue for a couple days. I'm assuming you're using Square for Retail? Go into the App Store, look up Square for Retail and update to the latest version. That should fix it. I'm guessing they sent out a dodgy update, then quickly fixed it by releasing another update but didn't bother telling their support staff.
The update fix was released yesterday.
