It seems that the low stock setting only applies to the main stocked item when variants are listed. It would be great to be able to use the Low Stock for the variants.
i.e ...
We have set up say an item of a box of crisps but we sell packets not the box so...
Unit 1 : 'Per Box' (main stocked unit consisting of 48 packets)
Unit 2: 'Per Packet' individual bag
We can set 'Per Box' Low Stock amount but not as a decimal so when we would like to know that we only have 15 'Packets' left it would be better to be able to set 'Per Packet' Low Stock so when the box is reducing you get the notification.
I have tried this but it does not save the Low Stock for a Variant other than the main stocked unit!
