Tip on service only

Could you please add the option to tip only on services instead of on the service & retail total only?

Yes! This has been requested forever! I understand there are workarounds but they add time to the checkout. The very least Square could do is explain WHY this has not been made an option. Instead, it gets asked for in countless posts with no comment by Square.

Unbelievable, we have just brought our established business over and to find out that this is the case is stunning. Talk about alienating a client, it's downright uncomfortable for the percentage to be calculated on retail items. How can Square say Appointments is for serviced based businesses and then appear to know absolutely nothing about how treats clients for a serviced based business. When is the last time that they were asked to tip on products at Sephora or Ulta? Why would they not go there instead of feeling like they will be asked to tip on the products as well!

So far, we just left it on Custom Tip amount enabled, and then zeroed out the three options so it will just go straight to a screen that prompts for a tip amount or "no tip". We will just verbalize their service total amount, but this is enough to make us go back to our previous platform.

@asco2014, just wait. There are so many essential features that are not available on Square. This system is really not set up for the service industry as they advertise.
