Greetings,
I’m putting this in Reporting because that’s what makes the most sense to me. Move it if you wish!
I’ve been with Square for a long time, bordering on a decade with a brief hiatus with another processor long enough to find out the grass is never greener on the other side of the fence! Ha. Anyway, one of my biggest gripes (if you will) has always been that Square Reporting just didn’t cut it for my business needs. However, recently that has changed, especially with the roll-out of the new Trends report which I use all the time. So, kudos.
There is, however, one more reporting feature that I would love to have. Each season I use my handy-dandy spreadsheet to analyze the previous season’s sales and to create a sales projection (by month) for the new season. The projections are based upon a number of factors — expected apples-to-apples growth, any expected increases or decreases due to extraordinary factors, etc.
For now, I’m not asking that Square create sales projections for me, though that would ultimately be a really amazing thing! At the moment, what I need is the capability to manually enter my sales projections into my dashboard and then to have those available to display on various reports like the Sales Trends and Sales Summary reports, though on others as well.
Honestly, I’m actually surprised to close by saying that if this capability existed in my Square dashboard I would have no need for regular spreadsheet reports at all. This is the last spreadsheet report that I haven’t replaced with new Square Reporting. Of course, there will always be a need for one-and-done spreadsheet reports, just because standard reports can’t be everything to everyone.
Thanks for your consideration! @Marco (LOL)
