Partial Order Fulfillment- Shipping Orders

I've been using Printful on my website for a while. Since Printful is a POD service, not all items are able to ship at the same time. I've had several customers who have ordered multiple POD items that ship at different times, but when Printful pushes tracking back for one item, it marks the entire order as filled. 

I'd love to see a solution to this, so my customers don't think their entire order has shipped, then is disappointed when it's only partial. 

Potential solution #1: work on the integration with Printful, so that when one item is assigned tracking on the Printful dashboard, ONLY that item receives tracking and is marked as filled in Square.

Potential solution #2: allow for partial fulfillment in Square, and allow for the order to be edited at all times (even after being marked as complete). This way, if Printful fills 1/6 items, I can manually go in and enter the tracking # for each item if needed.

Shopify has an option where I can select Printful as a Location (which is automatically added when you integrate). Then, in the order, I can hit "mark as filled" and choose the items to mark as filled from each individual location. I'm also able to mark each product with the location it should be filled at.
