As we go to penniless pricing at our shop, we're attempting to set all of our items up under a tax included rule so that we can set all of our prices to end on a .25 value. That will help us eliminate all of our need for pennies, nickles, and dimes.
In setting our item pricing on the quarter value, I've found that there's no way to include tax on a modifier. So, say someone orders a latte at 4.50, if we add an oat milk modifier for $1, the price of the modifier is not tax included and the total ends up being $5.67 or whatever.
Is there a fix in the works for being able to apply the tax included rule on our modifier pricing? If not, it would certainly help people like us who are trying to simplify our operations as pennies become obscure. I'd rather make it a clean, behind the scenes process, instead of having our cashiers have to navigate rounding on the spot. We're fairly high volume with lots of small transactions.
If anyone has a real workaround for this, I'm all ears!
Thanks.
