Gift Card Balance

Please show the customer/cashier their remaining balance after its used for a transaction. 

All our customers ask us how much is left after they use their egift card and we have to go back in and manually type their number (Our scanner does not work at the moment)

I have to double check this but I believe it does show it on the screen after the transaction is complete. And it shows on the bottom of the receipt!

@sacredheart926 We do not give out receipts and have not seen it on any screen. A lot of our customers are kids with gift cards so it would be nice to tell or write on their gift card how much is left

@sacredheart926 The balance does not show after a transaction on the Square Register (but I think it does on the mobile and iPad apps, and possibly the Square Terminals) and the user has the ability to decline a printed receipt.

What we've found is that the customer often asks what their gift card balance is, immediately after clicking the "No Receipt" option at checkout. We go back and print the transaction receipt when that happens, but it's very annoying for everyone involved. 

I fully support this feature request and it's been requested many times over the last few years.

I support this feature request and I don’t even sell gift cards! That is so silly that this feature isn’t available.
