Feature Request: Rental Scheduling, Equipment Tracking & Website Integration

We run an equipment rental business and would love to see Square expand its functionality to better support rental operations.

Square works great for payments, but it currently lacks key features needed for rental businesses. It would be extremely valuable to have built-in rental scheduling and equipment tracking, including:

  • Ability to assign specific equipment to a booking
  • Calendar view showing availability (rented, reserved, available)
  • Multi-day and hourly rental tracking
  • Automatic conflict prevention to avoid double-booking
  • Start/end tracking with overdue alerts
  • Easy extensions for active rentals
  • Linking rentals to customer profiles, contracts, and payments

Website Integration (very important):
It would be a huge improvement if this system could integrate directly with Square Online, allowing customers to:

  • View real-time equipment availability on our website
  • Book rentals online for specific dates/times
  • Reserve equipment and pay deposits or full amounts
  • Automatically sync with in-store scheduling to prevent conflicts

Additional helpful features:

  • Delivery and pickup scheduling
  • Notes or damage tracking per rental
  • Inventory tracking for multiple units of the same item

Currently, rental businesses are forced to use separate systems for scheduling, contracts, and online bookings. This creates inefficiencies and increases the risk of errors. Having everything integrated within Square—including website booking—would streamline operations and help businesses capture more rentals online.

We would strongly prefer to keep everything within Square instead of paying for multiple third-party systems.
