Delete Team Member

This doesn't seem to be an active request because I can't comment on the thread at https://www.sellercommunity.com/t5/Read-only-archive-Square-Payroll/How-do-you-delete-a-team-member-... which is what the subject links me to as an existing request.

It's been 6 years of discussion since this wasn't submitted.  I mean, really, why hasn't been done.  There is no legal obligation to keep these employees on the books, and having duplicates, old contractors, dead people and all show up in reports and my "inactive" employee list is ridiculous.  Please fix this.

Please, for the love of all that's holy, will you add a delete deactivated employee option?! It's very clearly been asked for numerous times. The inactive employee list is getting quite cumbersome AND whenever I have to choose an employee for anything other than schedule, it gives me the very long list of ALL employees (past & present).

I am coming here in 2026 to say the same thing! This is absolutely ridiculous that I cant simply delete old employees that have nothing to do with a company anymore. Seriously square, please add a feature to delete redundant items this is ridiculous. This has nothing to do with compliance or taxes either. Even quickbooks neatly files away old employees so I don't have to see them all the time!!!!
