Convert Open order to an invoice

We have companies that come in to bowl and eat and want to be billed for their company outing. Everything is put on a bar tab and currently that tab either sits open until they send payment or we have to delete the tab and then enter everything into an invoice. Bowling Centers have this situation happen all the time. Square is working with Qubica bowling software so I would think this would be a feature used by many bowling centers.

I believe this is a doable thing right now!

When you go to close your bar tab, on the payment types screen, you should see an option for Invoice. If you don't, go to More -> Settings -> Checkout -> Payment Types on your device and enable Invoice.

Tapping on invoice will require you to link a customer name to the order or you can create a new customer. Square will then send the invoice to the email linked to this customer.

invoicing of open tickets is being turned off as i have just found out..... unless on plus.

i can see my open tickets now in orders

but no way to convert to an invoice

please help.

@crystalcleaners Okay this is odd. I do have the Invoices Plus plan on my account and I'm not seeing the option to send an open ticket to an invoice either.

I'm reaching out to a few of the leads of the new Open Tickets setup, and I'm also going to ping a couple of mods here for clarification: @Summer2024 @Violet_ any ideas?

That sounds right @crystalcleaners looking for more and more things to charge for rather than providing more value to customers.
