Can we scan barcodes using a phone/mobile device?

It would be very helpful, if you could scan your barcodes with you qreader, on your phone, when doing purchases with register app. 

Is this at all in the works.

Great news! It looks like this feature has been added to the Square app.

Not sure why this hasn’t been added to the regular app? 

it’s in the free versions of the restaurant app (not available for iPhone) and the retail app (doesn’t work how we need it). 

As the feature isn’t behind a pay barrier it seems it could be added to the standard app too to bring it in line.
