Automatic % Markup on Item Cost

Hi,

It would be great if Square had a built-in feature to apply a percentage-based markup to items automatically.

For example, if I buy an item for $10 today and want to apply a 20% markup, the sale price should be set to $12 automatically. If I buy the same item tomorrow for $12, the system should update the sale price to $14.40 — always applying the same 20% markup — instead of having to manually calculate and update prices every time.

Right now, I'm doing this manually because my item costs change frequently. This feature would save a lot of time and reduce the risk of pricing errors.

That would be a great feature and would definitely be useful for Square.  I have one built into my website and use it a decent amount of times a year.  It is not an automatic feature, but with a couple clicks I can globally adjust the pricing with ease.

Not a bad idea but because we pay for shipping with a good bit of our products imported our price per item would still be off....

understand that shipping can affect the final cost, but having an automatic % markup based on the item’s base cost is still extremely helpful — especially for businesses like mine where prices change often. Even if it's not perfect for every use case, it would save a lot of time and reduce manual updates.

Ideally, there could also be an option to apply the % markup based on total cost (item + shipping), but having the base % markup feature alone would already be a huge improvement.
