Add notes to transactions

This has been on request for at least 5 years. How hard can it be to enable a single field to be editable. We understand the need to keep financial information locked, but so much happens after a sale that needs to be noted that the inability to say what a custom amount was for is a major flaw in this system. 

What's the delay?

You can already add notes to custom amounts, you have been able to do that for quite some time. Simply press on the custom amount in the review screen and it will allow you to add a note.

I do this when I am selling one off items in my shop. I have been able to do this on Square for a very long time.

Here it is on the Retail App on my iPhone, I don't have my iPad nearby. It is the same exact way on the regular app. On the iPad, you would click on the item in the "cart", and below you would see a toggle that lets you add a note.

You can add notes to any item in your transaction, even ones in your library.
