ACH on subscriptions

Hello! I love your new subscription feature. It is GREAT. However, it is missing the opportunity to select ACH as the payment method! My feature request is for ACH to be a payment option for subscriptions. Ideally, as a merchant I would have the ability to ONLY accept ACH for payments to subscriptions.

Thank you for submitting this feature request @HyattTraining. It's in the product team's roadmap to bring ACH to Online Checkout (the tool used for subscription links).

@JJ_ Can you give me a rough timeline? In the next 3 months? 6 months? 1 year? I'm ready to make the change ASAP and Square seems like a really great option. But I may have to go in another direction if you don't have a timeline.

No specific timeline at this time @HyattTraining. However, discussing this with the Product Team. At this time the best way to proceed with ONLY ACH will be using Recurring Invoices because ACH will most likely be offer as an available payment method but the current plan is to have it presented as an alternative, not exclusively.

@JJ_ Hi again - Just checking in on this feature request. Any news on when the ACH alternative might be available as a payment method on subscriptions? 

As for how I would use it and what I would expect from it: We are a small, service-based business. The fees associated with collecting our monthly memberships and revenue by credit card are simply out of control. We must reign in costs to stay in business and retain top talent on our team. However, we're not willing to jeopardize data security by going with a less-known vendor.

Thank you for following up with your interest in this feature request @HyattTraining. At this time, some priorities have shifted a little in regard to offering ACH payments or Bank Transfers on other platforms. At this time, the best and only way to go will be to create Recurring Invoices in which you can specify the cadence and the details. If you need a hand or have questions regarding this suggestion I would be more than happy to share more details and some helpful articles that will give you an idea of how to leverage this tool to accomplish your goal while reducing your processing fees significantly.

Hi Square, we would also like to use ACH as an option for our growing subscription based program. Please add this feature as using a recurring invoice isn't as user friendly and many people are already set up. Thank you!

Hi Square, I feel the same as everyone above. We need this feature!  Please add this feature as using a recurring invoice isn't as ideal or as seamless as subscription via automatic ACH payments!

Hi Square, I agree. Please add ACH feature to subscriptions. This would be ideal and allow my growing business to stay with Square for the long term.
