Is there a way to turn off the screen that will allow customer to redeem their reward themselves? We are running into a problem where customers are hitting that before employees can say they can't use the reward and they're getting double discounts on items.
We don't allow coupons to be stacked and while it's usually not a problem it's happening this weekend during an event we're doing. I would really like to have it turned off so that the customer can't just hit redeem themselves.
Hey @alexandriak. Currently, there are only two ways to keep customers from redeeming rewards. One is to remove the customer-facing display and have your employees process all payments on your POS. The other is to turn off your Loyalty Program. But if you do that one, then customers will not be able to earn points for the time period it is off, and there may be other issues with your Loyalty Subscription that I don’t know about.
I thought maybe you could just remove the Loyalty add-on from your POS devices. But, unfortunately, this requires you to disable your Loyalty subscription, first, so that won’t work.
I’ll add one other option. It’s not perfect, but it will do the trick. Have your employees check-in all loyalty customers manually. Then, if they have rewards available they can be informed of this and choose to either use discounts or rewards. Like I said, it’s not perfect. But it is short-term pain, for now.

We have the square stand where customers can insert or tap to pay. I suppose we could just stop turning this around until it's time for the customer to choose their receipt. it was just nice for the customers to be able to review the transaction as well.
This I guess is going to be our only option when a customer is already using a discount of some sort.
Thanks as always!
