coupon code invalid

I sent an email with a coupon code to a client but when they try to redeem it, it says "invalid" How can I rectify this?

Hello @Ecosheco

 

This must've been frustrating for both you and your customer. I wanted to make sure we are on the same page, Square has two separate ways you can reward your customers. The first one is Coupons which are solely used in Square Online and the second one would be Discounts which are solely applied at Checkout when using any of the Point of Sale Applications we offer.

 

Knowing this information. Could you share some details on how was this coupon generated and how your customer intended to use it?

Thank you. It was created in square marketing as a coupon sent in an email. The code that was generated was invalid when she tried to buy a gift card online.

I am not having the same issue with a coupon that was generated for a customer under the automations tab, for Winback customers.

 

Customer tried the coupon online and in the store and not working. I also tried for them on my end and getting the invalid error.

 

What was the resolution for this?

Hi Maya.

 

After I posted this message I called in and got transferred to the marketing team.

 

I provided some screenshots to them in a return email:  [email protected].  He mentioned that he would investigate and get a ticket for this issue.

 

Wanted to provide that information just so that is not multiple people working on the same issue.
