Why don't email campaign header images appear on mobile device?

The header image selected from Themes in my email campaigns do not display on mobile devices. They appear as solid color blocks. This negatively affects the readability of my store name and is quite unattractive, since I choose text color to appropriately contrast with the image selected from Themes, not with the background color of the block, which does not always match the background color of the image. Has anyone else had this issue or found a solution? Thanks so much!
